BROADBAND NETWORK TO CHITTAGONG

The company was established in 1997 and launched its commercial Internet services during the year 2000. 2000 - AccessTEL launched Bangladesh's first Broadband services using 2.4 GHz ISM band point to point wireless technology.

2001 - AccessTEL adds Hardware & Software Solutions section in order to address additional services requirements of its customers.

2004 - AccessTEL launches XSTREAM NLOS services and becomes the first company in the world to deploy commercial NLOS Wireless Broadband (WBA) network on 3.5 GHz band.

2005 - AccessTEL establishes an extensive Fiber Optic Network (FON) in Dhaka City.

2007 - AccessTEL extends its XSTREAM NLOS services to Gazipur and Narayanganj.

2008 - AccessTEL extends its XSTREAM NLOS services and FON connectivity services in Chittagong simultaneously.

The Technology:

The XSTREAM NLOS service provides reliable, always on, Broadband services using a small self-installable wireless modem that does not require users to download software or to configure their laptop or desktop computers.  The “user-friendly” wireless modem operates indoors or outdoors, from anywhere within AccessTEL's area of coverage, creating a new freedom for subscriber's to connect to the Internet from multiple locations.  It can be used at the office, at home, at school, in a café, in a hotel, at the airport, etc. – anywhere within AccessTEL's coverage area.
